Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage medical conditions related to women's reproductive health.
• Provide comprehensive prenatal care and manage normal and complicated pregnancies.
• Perform surgical procedures including caesarean sections and other gynaecological surgeries.
• Conduct routine examinations such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
• Offer family planning and contraceptive advice tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide expert opinion on complex obstetrics and gynaecology cases and collaborate on patient management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for effective ongoing patient care.
• Stay updated with recent developments and techniques in obstetrics and gynaecology for continuous improvement.
• Work in collaboration with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients about health management and preventative care to enhance overall wellbeing.
• Deliver lectures and training sessions to junior doctors and healthcare staff.
• Participate in departmental audits, ensuring adherence to best practice and clinical guidelines.

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from an accredited institution.
• Board certification and licensure to practice as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex gynaecological conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
