Job Description

The role of a Construction Manager is vital to ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The Construction Manager will oversee all phases of the construction process from planning, coordination, to execution. This includes working closely with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to develop project plans and ensure all construction activities comply with respective safety regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with strong abilities in problem-solving, negotiation, and communication. Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently and the ability to handle complex situations under pressure are critical for success in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors and construction staff.
  • Ensure all construction activities meet quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor progress and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Resolve any construction-related issues promptly to minimize delays.
  • Conduct site inspections regularly to ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Negotiate contracts, revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Implement quality control programs and safety regulations on site.
  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment, and labor efficiently.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and developments in construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related position.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple large-scale construction projects successfully.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, good at conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
