The Construction Lead (Piping & Pipeline) will be responsible for overseeing all piping and pipeline construction activities during the execution phase of ADNOC Upstream Onshore projects. The role will ensure that construction is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, approved procedures, and project schedules. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in Upstream Oil & Gas and Early Production Facilities (EPF) projects within a PMC environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all piping and pipeline construction activities on behalf of the PMC team.
Monitor EPC Contractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, HSE requirements, and quality procedures.
Coordinate construction activities for piping systems, flowlines, trunk lines, gathering networks, pipelines, utility piping, and associated facilities.
Review construction methodologies, work packs, method statements, ITPs, lifting plans, hydrotest procedures, and construction schedules.
Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and project procedures.
Coordinate multidisciplinary construction interfaces with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Commissioning teams.
Monitor construction progress, productivity, and contractor performance against approved schedules.
Participate in constructability reviews during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
Resolve field engineering and construction issues in coordination with Engineering and Project Management teams.
Ensure effective management of tie-ins, shutdown activities, and brownfield construction within operating facilities.
Monitor compliance with ADNOC HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, SIMOPS requirements, and safe work practices.
Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, progress reviews, and contractor coordination meetings.
Review contractor reports, construction progress, KPIs, and identify mitigation measures for schedule or construction risks.
Support project completion, punch list clearance, mechanical completion, and final handover activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Professional memberships or certifications are an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction.
Minimum 10 years of experience in PMC projects.
Experience in ADNOC Projects
Strong practical experience in Upstream Oil & Gas and Early Production Facilities (EPF) projects is mandatory.
Extensive experience in piping systems, cross-country pipelines, flowlines, gathering systems, trunk lines, manifolds, well pads, and Central Processing Facilities (CPF).
Experience in brownfield modifications, shutdowns, live plant tie-ins, and operating facilities is highly preferred.
