Job Description

The Compliance & AML Analyst is a critical role responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to all laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to its business operations. This position requires a person with an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail, committed to identifying potential suspicious activities related to financial crimes such as money laundering and fraud. Working collaboratively with various departments, the Analyst will implement and update compliance programs to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency. As the regulatory landscape is ever-evolving, staying informed about the latest developments within the industry is paramount. This role demands excellent communication skills to effectively relay findings and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of transactions to identify suspicious activities and patterns.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to address any potential compliance issues promptly.
  • Monitor developments in regulatory requirements and update compliance practices accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance and AML-related activities for senior management.
  • Coordinate with other departments for compliance risk assessments and audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance and AML best practices.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on any identified compliance breaches within required timelines.
  • Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in regular compliance reviews and monitoring activities to ensure adherence.
  • Maintain a robust record-keeping system for all compliance and AML documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance or anti-money laundering roles.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) are preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational and multitasking abilities.
