Job Description

Job purpose:

The Common Area Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all common areas across Bloom Holding’s retail and commercial assets are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, functionality, and presentation.

The role supports operational excellence by conducting regular inspections, identifying issues, monitoring contractor performance, and coordinating with Facilities Management to ensure compliance with Bloom Holding’s standards, policies, and service level agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of common areas including lobbies, corridors, washrooms, parking areas, landscaping, and external areas.
  • Ensure common areas meet Bloom Holding’s quality, safety, and presentation standards at all times.
  • Monitor cleanliness, housekeeping, and aesthetic standards in coordination with FM and service providers.
  • Identify defects, damages, safety hazards, or non-compliance and raise corrective actions accordingly.
  • Conduct snagging inspections and follow up to ensure timely closure of identified issues.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Management teams and contractors (cleaning, security, landscaping, maintenance).
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed SLAs related to common areas.
  • Support move-in and move-out inspections where common areas are impacted.
  • Liaise with tenants regarding common area-related concerns and observations.
  • Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and photographic documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property operations, facilities management, or common area inspections.
  • Experience in retail and commercial assets is preferred.
  • Good understanding of health & safety standards and operational compliance.
  • Strong inspection, reporting, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple service providers.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with FM systems and work order processes
  • Familiarity with UAE property management practices.
