commis II

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis 2 to join our hotel kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist the Chef and senior kitchen staff in preparing food, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, and other food items as required.
• Support the Chef de Partie and other kitchen team members during daily operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, HACCP, and hotel hygiene standards.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Minimize food wastage and follow proper portion control.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food supplies when required.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Chef or supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis 2 or similar kitchen position, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in different shifts.
• Positive attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn.
