The Pastry team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi is dedicated to creating exceptional desserts, baked goods, and pastry experiences that delight our guests and elevate every dining occasion. Through creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, the team consistently delivers products that reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

As a Commis – Pastry, you will report to the Sous Chef and work closely with the pastry brigade to support daily production while developing your skills in a fast-paced, quality-focused culinary environment.

As a Commis – Pastry, you will assist in the preparation and production of pastry items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements. You will support the pastry team in maintaining an organized, hygienic, and efficient kitchen while contributing to the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences.

Your passion for pastry, attention to detail, and commitment to learning will help ensure consistent quality and presentation across all pastry offerings.

• Prepare mise en place and pastry items under the guidance of the Sous Chef, ensuring readiness for all service periods
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to maintain consistent quality
• Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, FIFO, and local regulatory requirements
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of ingredients, products, and equipment at all times
• Support the maintenance and care of pastry equipment and work areas
• Contribute to a safe and collaborative kitchen environment while supporting operational excellence
  

• You have experience working in a pastry kitchen within a hotel, restaurant, bakery, or similar hospitality environment
• You are passionate about pastry arts and eager to continue learning and developing your culinary skills
• You possess strong knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling practices
• You are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
• You communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are an advantage
