The Culinary team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through creativity, craftsmanship, and precision. Working across our restaurants and kitchens, the team is committed to delivering the highest standards of quality, consistency, and innovation.

As a Commis 1, you will report to the Junior Sous Chef and play an important role in supporting the daily operation of your assigned kitchen section while contributing to the overall success of the culinary team.

As a Commis 1, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes in your assigned section to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

You will support daily kitchen operations by maintaining excellent mise en place, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, and assisting in the development of junior culinary associates. Your passion for culinary excellence and attention to detail will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain readiness of your assigned section through effective mise en place preparation and organization
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality assurance standards
• Monitor portion control, product consistency, and food presentation throughout service
• Support and guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 associates in daily kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while ensuring proper care of kitchen equipment
  

• You have experience working in a professional kitchen within a hotel, restaurant, or quality-driven culinary environment
• You are passionate about food, culinary craftsmanship, and continuous learning
• You possess strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation, and kitchen operations
• You have a solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• You are organized, adaptable, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• You communicate effectively in English and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
