Cloud Ops Engineer

A leading financial institution is committed to maintaining stable, reliable, and efficient cloud environments to support its enterprise operations. The organization is seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer to manage production workloads, lead incident response, and drive continuous operational improvement across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and support cloud environments including day-to-day monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Ensure backups, recovery processes, and operational controls are aligned with business continuity requirements.
• Perform capacity planning, performance management, and cloud cost optimization activities.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the environment.
• Support application teams operating distributed cloud workloads with troubleshooting and operational guidance.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and regular reporting for key stakeholders.
• Remain calm, structured, and decisive during incidents while communicating effectively across technical and business teams.
  
  

• Experience in cloud operations or production support roles within complex cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities with the ability to manage concurrent issues.
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling in AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Ability to automate operational tasks and continuously seek to reduce toil.
• Strong customer and service orientation with excellent cross-team collaboration skills.
• Experience maintaining operational documentation and producing clear, concise operational reports.
• Disciplined approach to change management and operational standards.
