Senior Platform Engineer (Azure)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale Azure cloud and hybrid-cloud environments for a leading enterprise organisation. You will establish a robust, secure, and scalable cloud foundation, with a focus on operationalising AI services and driving cost efficiency through FinOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy greenfield Azure environments using a landing zone approach
• Integrate and manage Azure AI services (OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence, Content Safety)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Manage API lifecycle via Azure APIM and Kong
• Drive cloud cost optimisation and monitoring (FinOps)
• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of Azure Cloud experience
• Expert-level Terraform skills
• Experience with Azure AI services / OpenAI
• Strong network architecture knowledge (VNETs, Private Link, Firewalls)
• Experience with Azure APIM or Kong
• Strong architecture and design documentation capability
