As a Civil Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards. Your position is central to the planning, executing, and monitoring of construction sites to guarantee that each phase of the project meets design specifications and governmental regulations. You will coordinate with your team and liaise closely with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure a thorough understanding of project goals and requirements. Troubleshooting design and construction issues on-site will form a critical part of your day-to-day duties, along with preparing documentation and reports. Your technical expertise, coupled with strong leadership skills, will ensure that all personnel are effectively managed and guided through each critical stage of the project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate and liaise with architects, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress of construction activities and make adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare and submit site-related reports such as progress and expense reports.
• Ensure that quality standards are consistently met throughout the project life cycle.
• Conduct site-inspections and identify any potential issues or risks on-site.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure all logistical needs are met efficiently.
• Manage resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials to maximize efficiency.
• Implement and maintain health and safety measures in accordance with regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to solve technical problems and improve project designs.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and other topographical or geotechnical data.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar civil site engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment usage.
• Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills are essential for this role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex engineering issues.
• Demonstrable knowledge of construction codes and health standards compliance.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
