Civil Architectural Inspector

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Carry out inspection of civil and architectural works on assigned construction sites, ensuring installations comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Support the site supervision team in monitoring contractor civil and architectural works throughout construction.

Qualifications And Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in civil or architectural inspection on construction sites
• Good knowledge of civil and architectural construction methods, materials and finishes
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and material submittals
• UAE experience preferred
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect civil and architectural works for compliance with approved drawings and specifications
• Review contractor method statements and material submittals for civil and architectural works
• Witness testing of materials and works
• Identify and record non-conformances, following up on corrective actions with the contractor
• Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists and photographic documentation
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer and design team on technical queries
• Monitor contractor compliance with health and safety requirements
