This opportunity is with a leading organisation in the banking sector, looking to enhance and support its digital identity and access management capabilities. The CIAM Integration Developer will work closely with internal teams and external technology partners to review requirements, design solutions, and oversee implementation activities.
Role Purpose
The role involves analyzing business requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting the evaluation and delivery of CIAM-related technical solutions. The selected consultant will propose process improvements, supervise project execution, and ensure that all implementation activities align with established standards and best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with CIAM platforms and IBM Identity & Access Management tools (ISAM / IBM Verify) including customization, installation, development, and configuration.
Collaborate with technology vendors to deploy CIAM (ISAM) solutions across development, QA, UAT, and production environments, ensuring seamless integration with digital channels such as mobile banking and online banking.
Create, update, and follow up on incidents, change requests, and service tickets within the service management system.
Prepare and review project documentation, obtaining necessary approvals.
Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders to support enhancements, operational tasks, and project activities.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing documentation, resolving issues, and securing sign-offs.
Assist in go-live phases and provide post-launch support for assigned initiatives.
Act as a liaison between business teams and vendors, translating business needs into technical steps and ensuring mutual understanding.
Escalate technical issues when required, propose corrective actions, and ensure progress on assigned work.
Coordinate vendor support and ensure timely responses to service-related inquiries.
Track incidents and known issues, ensuring proper documentation and closure.
Follow all mandatory internal standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Complete assigned tasks within the agreed timelines and quality expectations.
Execute additional assignments from management when needed to meet business or IT objectives.
Lead and support go-live activities for project releases and production deployments.
Operational Support
Monitor service activities, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely ticket resolution.
Record, follow up, and close incidents and problems through approved workflows.
Comply with operational standards and delivery procedures.
Perform tasks assigned by senior IT leadership within required timelines.
Communication
Participate in team meetings and maintain a strong communication culture.
Respond promptly to emails, assigned tasks, and stakeholder requests.
Prepare regular task status reports for stakeholders.
Documentation & Process Ownership
Maintain and update documentation related to the role.
Notify process owners whenever documentation needs updates or improvements.
People & Attendance
Collaborate professionally with team members and maintain strong attendance discipline.
Follow reporting hierarchies and be open to extended working hours when necessary.
Information Security
Maintain confidentiality and information security at all times.
Report any potential or actual information security risks immediately.
Support a secure and compliant IT environment.
Key Requirements
Candidates should possess practical experience in at least four of the following areas:
CIAM and IBM Identity & Access Management (ISAM / IBM Verify) – customization, installation, development, configuration.
Strong understanding of Identity Management, Access Management, Directory Services, and Security Directory Integrator.
Hands-on experience in security domains such as IAM, application security, and endpoint protection.
Experience in the financial sector with API protection, microservices security, and advanced access control (OAuth, JWT, SAML, XACML, OTP, MMFA), plus DevOps integration.
Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization techniques for mobile, web, and API solutions.
Experience integrating with external identity providers such as UAE Pass, EFR, SIM validation, etc.
Experience with APIs (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON) and technologies like JavaScript, React, Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and regular expressions.
Experience Requirements
5–7 years of overall IT experience.
Minimum 4 years in a CIAM/IAM-focused role.
Experience with IBM identity and security tools (ISAM, IBM Verify, Tivoli).
Financial sector experience is considered an advantage.
