Chief Instructor – Specialised Infantry

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Chief Instructor – Specialised Infantry to lead the design, coordination and execution of a specialist infantry training programme. This role is critical in developing recruits to meet the operational standards required by specialist teams operating in complex and demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and continuously refine a specialised infantry training programme aligned to operational requirements, progressing recruits from foundational soldiering to mission-ready capability
• Establish, monitor and enforce tactical and technical training standards across all phases, including structured assessment frameworks and performance evaluation
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of instructors, ensuring consistent, high-quality and standardised training delivery
• Oversee all training delivery, ensuring it is safe, realistic and aligned with operational doctrine, adapting scenarios based on performance and conditions
• Integrate training with other domains including physical training, marksmanship and combat support functions to ensure a fully integrated approach
• Develop operational capability in areas such as fieldcraft, live fire, urban operations and small-unit tactics
• Implement robust safety and risk management procedures, particularly for live fire and field training activities
• Manage training resources including ranges, training areas, equipment and scheduling to support large-scale delivery
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting on performance, risks and training outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, feedback and alignment with evolving operational doctrine
  
  

• Extensive experience in specialised infantry or combat arms roles within a military environment
• Proven leadership and team management capability
• Strong operational military background
• Experience delivering instruction within large-scale training programmes
