Chief Fire Officer

About the Role

Jaheziya is seeking an experienced Chief Fire Officer to provide strategic, professional, and operational leadership of fire and emergency response services.

The role is responsible for maintaining 24/7 operational readiness, effective incident command, competent personnel, serviceable vehicles and equipment, risk-based emergency response planning, and high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership of fire and emergency response services.

• Maintain 24/7 operational readiness and emergency response capability.

• Provide senior incident command for major and complex emergencies.

• Lead workforce planning, competency, training, and professional development.

• Oversee fire appliances, equipment, PPE, and operational resources.

• Ensure effective emergency response and pre-incident planning.

• Maintain QHSE, regulatory, and operational compliance.

• Manage service performance, KPIs, risks, and continuous improvement.

• Build effective relationships with clients, authorities, and emergency-service stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of fire and emergency service experience.

• At least 8 years in fire-service leadership and management, including senior command experience.

• Significant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, port, aviation, or similar high-hazard environments.

• Proven experience in complex incident command and multi-agency emergency response.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent senior fire-service command experience.

• Fire Officer III or higher, aligned with applicable NFPA standards or equivalent.

• Advanced Incident Command and Hazardous Materials Incident Command qualifications.

• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent QHSE qualification.
