Job Summary

As a Cash Operations Specialist, you will ensure the seamless and efficient operation of the Cash Control Department, directly supporting the financial management of our Leisure Facilities. This pivotal role involves acting as the primary point of responsibility for safeguarding significant cash, foreign currency, and equivalents within the vault while operating independently in the cash office. You will drive integrity in daily collections and revenue reporting through meticulous execution, rigorous audits, and transparent financial transactions. Your work will not only maintain operational excellence but also uphold the highest standards of trustworthiness and accuracy in all financial processes.

Responsibilities

Cash Control Operations

• Manage daily cash deposits and collections, processing and verifying all receipts and payments with precision.
• Prepare, distribute, and oversee cashier floats while facilitating change requests efficiently.
• Coordinate with cash transit partners and exchange houses to execute replenishment and foreign exchange transactions.
• Conduct daily random cash spot audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  
  

Cash Control Reporting

• Perform daily reconciliations and communicate findings to the Finance team for timely resolution.
• Monitor and track cash receipts and issuances, ensuring full visibility and accountability.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or issues to management and relevant revenue team supervisors.
  
  

Cash Control Accounting

• Generate and post cash-related journal entries with strict adherence to accounting standards.
• Maintain meticulous records of cash balances and ensure their accuracy at all times.
• Execute monthly closings for petty cash and verify all cash transactions in the accounting system.
  
  

Controls and Compliance

• Uphold cash control documentation and ensure strict compliance with operational policies.
• Participate in internal and external compliance training to stay updated on cash operations best practices.
  
  

System Management

• Generate reports for daily reconciliations and analyze data for discrepancies or trends.
• Identify and report system errors or issues impacting cash transactions.
• Train cash handling team members on system usage and provide support during upgrades or changes.
  
  

Qualifications

Essential

• Higher Secondary or Diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Cash Handling environment
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
