Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our dedicated medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest. This role demands expertise in performing complex surgical procedures, commitment to patient safety, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical interventions
  • Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries including heart surgery, lung resections, and esophageal surgery
  • Utilize both traditional open and minimally invasive surgical techniques as appropriate
  • Coordinate preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring thorough patient counseling and monitoring
  • Work collaboratively with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in clinical research and maintain up-to-date knowledge on advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of General Surgery residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in cardiothoracic surgical practice
  • Proficient in performing a range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques
  • Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac and thoracic anatomy and physiology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments
  • Commitment to continuing medical education and research
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license
