THE TEAM

You will join our dynamic Restaurant team, working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This team oversees all daily dining room operations, guest engagement, and service excellence within our luxury environment.

YOUR ROLE

As Restaurant Captain, you play a pivotal role in shaping the service experience for our guests. You will ensure that every shift operates seamlessly—from staff coordination and service quality to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your leadership will help maintain Rosewood’s elevated service standards while supporting the team to create memorable dining moments that reflect the soul of our brand.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Maintain and enforce daily service standards, ensuring flawless execution in all aspects of restaurant operations.
  • Lead and support the team through effective shift coordination, pre‑service briefings, station assignments, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Anticipate guest needs, handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and ensure an exceptional, personalized dining experience.
  • Oversee the readiness and organization of the dining room, including table setups, side stations, equipment, menus, and service materials.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to communicate daily specials, 86’d items, and menu updates to the team.
  • Train and coach new and existing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
  • You bring at least two years of experience as a Restaurant Captain, ideally within a luxury or ultra‑luxury dining environment.
  • You are detail‑oriented, organized, and able to stay calm and think clearly in fast‑paced situations.
  • You communicate confidently in English and can engage guests, colleagues, and leaders with clarity and professionalism.
  • You understand fine dining service styles—such as tableside service, flambé, French or Russian service—and enjoy elevating every guest interaction.
  • You’re comfortable using POS systems and handling basic calculations related to billing, payments, and check reconciliation.
  • You thrive as part of a team, take initiative with minimal supervision, and bring a strong sense of responsibility to guest satisfaction and service quality.
