Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead our team and oversee operations in our bustling cafe. As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing daily operations, maximizing profits, and maintaining a high standard of food and beverage quality. You should be passionate about the hospitality industry and possess strong leadership skills to motivate your team and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cafe or restaurant management, an understanding of inventory management, and the ability to implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers while retaining regular patrons.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the cafe to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff to maintain high customer service standards.
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase customer foot traffic.
  • Monitor daily expenditures and manage the cafe's financial performance effectively.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are consistently adhered to in the cafe.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage orders with suppliers as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to enhance satisfaction.
  • Work alongside the team to create a welcoming and positive cafe atmosphere.
  • Maintain the cafe’s cleanliness, presentation, and overall environmental standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports on sales, employee performance, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with marketing to promote seasonal menu specials and events effectively.
  • Address any security concerns and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cafe Manager or similar leadership role in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and business management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively with staff.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Understanding of inventory management and ordering procedures for a cafe.
  • Ability to implement and uphold all safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
