The Etihad Cadet Technician Programme offers UAE Nationals the opportunity to launch a career with one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines. This hands-on training programme will not only equip you with the technical expertise needed to succeed, but also provide you with the opportunity to collaborate, challenge yourself, and develop as a future leader in our industry.
What to expect
We are offering a dynamic and rewarding two-year training and development programme, designed to launch your aviation career and prepare you for progression to become a Licensed Aircraft Technician. The combination of theoretical knowledge and on-the-job training will provide you with practical experience in the field and prepare you to take on responsibilities across all areas of aircraft maintenance, covering a range of aircraft types.
What you will achieve
- Enroll for a recognised Aviation Maintenance training programme and complet the GCAA-approved aircraft maintenance technician course.
- Gain practical on the job experience under supervision and gain the necessary 12 months of experience to qualify for the grant of GCAA license and Aircraft maintenance certification Authorisation.
- Obtain the CAT A license from GCAA
- Obtain the aircraft maintenance certification authorisation
- Graduate as licensed Aircraft Technician.
Accountabilities
- Complete the GCAA approved training syllabus and Training programme requirements.
- Maintain an overall 75% pass rate of all Modules Exams in the stipulated times.
- Comply with performance requirements set by GCAA, Training Institute and the Company.
- Complete on-the-job training within assigned timeline post theory qualification.
- Diligently execute and complete Schedule of Work (logbook) with the tasks assigned.
- Successfully attend and pass scheduled mandatory training in accordance with Etihad Airways Policy.
- Participate and successfully pass the Technical staff competency Assessments whenever assigned.
- Ensure that all work performed at Etihad and completed in accordance with its processes and procedures is done in a safe manner in conformance with the companys procedures, and in compliance with the applicable GCAA regulations.
- Carry out work in compliance with company, health and safety and airport procedures and regulations.
- Keep yourself updated with the applicable regulation amendments, company procedures and the latest maintenance best practices.
- Be responsible of own work after having completed a task that has been performed in accordance with approved data as assigned by Certifying Staff.
Compensation
Program Phases & Benefits
Phase 1 (Training)Stipends*: AED 5000 per month
Phase 2 (after obtaining the GCAA license CAT “A”) Compensation*: AED 21400
Phase 3 (After obtaining the certification authorisation as CAT “A” technican)
Compensation*: AED 24717
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are a UAE national with a valid family book
- Are between 18 and 29 years old
- Have a high school certificate or equivalent, including Maths/Physics/Science with a 60% overall score
- Have a strong command of the English language
- Have completed or been permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only)
- Are willing to work shifts, including nights
- Are flexible about working outdoors
