Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Buyer / Purchaser to join our Procurement team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports Field Service, Workshop, and Engineered Solutions by delivering efficient procurement and logistics support across goods, services, vendor management, and training coordination.

The main objective is to ensure every purchase delivers strong value for money, meets company quality standards, and supports operational requirements on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain an approved vendor database and procurement records to support accurate reporting and informed management decisions.
• Conduct vendor evaluations and competitive supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions.
• Manage competitive tenders and supplier proposals for goods and services.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with vendors while managing contractual risk and following company financial policies and quality procedures.
• Review purchase requisitions to confirm clear requirements, correct approvals, and compliance with procurement procedures.
• Issue purchase orders within the approved authority level and agreed commercial terms.
• Confirm vendor acknowledgements match purchase order requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and ability to meet agreed schedules.
• Review and approve purchase invoices for accuracy before payment processing.
• Resolve supplier, invoice, delivery, and purchase order queries while protecting company quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Monitor vendor quality performance, maintain supplier quality records, and take corrective action when required.
• Report vendor performance, risks, and procurement issues to management on a regular basis.
• Develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies and procedures to strengthen process control.
• Coordinate and purchase external training services based on company needs.
• Organize training for Field Service personnel.
• Monitor certification expiry dates and upload training certificates.
• Maintain the competency training matrix and keep all training records updated.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant procurement experience is required, preferably within the mechanical manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation is required.
• Technical understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, specifications, and quality requirements is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills are required to assess supplier performance, market trends, pricing, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required to resolve procurement issues and improve processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, Field Service, Workshop, and Engineered Solutions teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and respond to changing market, supplier, and production requirements.

This is a full time permanent position based in KEZAD Free Zone in Abu Dhabi.
