Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing and procurement of materials and products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to meet company objectives and support our production and inventory needs. Your ability to negotiate, build relationships with vendors, and manage purchasing activities will be key to ensuring the success of our operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manage supplier performance effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to meet company requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material needs and specifications.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation and records.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to forecast future purchasing needs and demands.
  • Resolve any purchasing-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support new product development by sourcing and procuring necessary components.
  • Manage procurement budgets and report on cost-saving initiatives and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or similar role within the procurement field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish productive supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in market analysis and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing software tools for effective workflow management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
