Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select suppliers to ensure the best terms and quality of goods.
  • Negotiate contracts that align with the company standards and financial goals.
  • Monitor market trends and perform analyses to forecast potential price changes.
  • Maintain productive supplier relationships to ensure a steady supply chain.
  • Manage purchase orders from placement to delivery and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand their purchasing needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts, suppliers, and purchase terms.
  • Review and assess stock levels to ensure timely reordering of goods.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities including cost analyses and inventory status.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and legal regulations.
  • Lead or assist in supplier audits to maintain standards and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
  • Analytical skills to understand and interpret financial data and forecasts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
