Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing needs of our organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly by maintaining a steady supply of products necessary for our production processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, possess excellent negotiation skills, and have the ability to analyze market trends to make effective purchasing decisions. In addition to procuring goods and materials, you will also manage supplier relationships and evaluate the quality of purchased products. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify best sourcing opportunities.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Analyze purchase requisitions and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain product availability needing restocking.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Resolve issues related to quality and delivery with suppliers effectively.
  • Track market trends and adjust buying strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure payment cycles adhere to terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a buyer or purchasing role for at least three years.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and purchasing records for informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
