As part of our growth strategy in the UAE, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead market expansion, strengthen key customer relationships, and drive profitable growth across our Asset Performance business.

This is a high-impact growth role with responsibility for developing and executing Bilfinger's UAE growth strategy. You will own strategic customer relationships, identify and secure new business opportunities, influence customer decision-making at an early stage, and lead complex sales pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award. The successful candidate will bring a strong network across the UAE industrial and energy sectors, a proven ability to win major service contracts, and the commercial acumen to translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth

Responsibilities

• Business Growth & Strategy
• Develop and execute the UAE sales and business development strategy.
• Drive profitable growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with business objectives.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and customer investment plans.
• Support the development of strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborative growth initiatives.
• Strategic Account Management
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers.
• Develop account strategies focused on market share growth and wallet expansion.
• Create customer engagement plans and stakeholder mapping strategies.
• Act as the primary commercial point of contact for strategic accounts.
• Drive customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
• Opportunity Development & Commercial Leadership
• Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities.
• Influence customer requirements and positioning strategies during early engagement phases.
• Develop winning commercial strategies, value propositions, and bid plans.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and profitable proposals.
• Conduct win/loss reviews and implement lessons learned to improve future success rates.
• Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement
• Monitor market developments, customer activity, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes.
• Provide market intelligence and commercial insights to senior leadership.
• Represent Bilfinger at customer events, conferences, and industry forums.
• Strengthen Bilfinger's brand presence across the UAE market.
• Sales Performance & Forecasting
• Deliver agreed bookings, revenue, and margin targets.
• Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting within Salesforce.
• Ensure CRM compliance and reporting discipline.
• Support regional sales planning and performance reviews.
• Technical Consultation & Solution Design:
• Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to design and ensure the proper solutions to Client requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to showcase the value of products and services to customers.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
• Work closely with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Participate in regular team meetings to update progress, share insights, and address any challenges.

Experience Requirements

• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

• Strong understanding of industrial operations, maintenance, reliability, and asset performance.
• Experience using CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, results-driven, and highly customer-focused
• 8-10+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or commercial leadership roles.
• Proven success within the UAE energy, petrochemical, industrial services, power, or process industries.
• The ideal candidate will have a technical background with experience in selling rotating and static equipment,
• Strong track record of securing major contracts and delivering profitable growth.
• Experience managing complex bids, tenders, and long-term service agreements.
• Existing network across major UAE industrial operators and stakeholders.
