Job Description

As an IT Operations & Support Technician, you will be a pivotal player in maintaining and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure. Your role focuses on ensuring seamless day-to-day IT support while working towards enhancing the overall IT service delivery. You will solve technical issues, manage system updates, and foster a reliable computing environment for all users. The IT Operations & Support Technician is the frontline of technical support, ensuring that our technical operations are functioning smoothly. You will collaborate closely with other IT professionals and departments to align technical solutions with business needs, driving efficiency and promoting innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor IT infrastructure for issues, ensuring timely identification and resolution.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
  • Document all support interactions and solutions in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues beyond internal adjustment.
  • Implement routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of systems.
  • Conduct training for staff on IT protocols and efficient system usage.
  • Maintain and update IT asset inventory for accurate management and tracking.
  • Provide assistance with network connectivity issues and ensure reliable network service.
  • Support cybersecurity measures by applying best practices and system updates.
  • Facilitate the setup and configuration of new devices and user accounts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IT service delivery and user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support or operations roles.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical terms to non-technical staff.
  • Experience with enterprise IT management software and tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
