Business Analyst will be responsible to prepare and define the business scope for new projects and programs under Technology and Trade Solutions division of Noatum Ports. Will help guide businesses in improving processes, products, services, and software.

Business Analyst will take a lead in covering the full cycle from process analysis, benchmarking, process reengineering, requirements analysis and design, while coordinating with other departments such as Stakeholder Management, Operations and Digitalization. The preferred candidate will also be responsible of identifying gaps in existing processes/solution, handling Change Management processes to ensure services/solution are up to date and the best practices are adopted.

Responsibilities

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Director Product Development and the Product Owner, works on the planning processes associated with the implementation of projects or business improvements.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager, the Business Partner, Systems Analysts, Quality Analysts and Systems Support Analysts to develop business cases, high level plans and project closure documents. Participates in meetings as required to support the Business Partners in the communication and promotion of services and products.
  • Keeps informed of key initiatives, proposals, and requirements of each client group Executes the initiatives identified in the vision and strategy.
  • Participates in user story development and prioritization with Product Owner and Scrum Team Conducts specific business analysis activities to support the Development Team.
  • Fine-tunes content of user stories to support Development team.
  • Develops functional test cases and supports testing efforts of Development Team.
  • Provides advice on best practice around business process design and improvement.
  • Analyses and designs business processes based on business needs with the stakeholders. Prepares documents such as business process diagrams, flowcharts, requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, etc. and reviews with stakeholders.
  • Translates technical issues into plain language that stakeholders understand.
  • Facilitates workshops and training sessions with business users.
  • Participates in development of system documentation and training materials.
  • Provides technical advice on the industry standards, design, usage, functionality, behavior, and user interface specifications and configuration parameters related to supported or proposed technologies and services to fit business needs.
  • Collaborates with the Scrum Team and stakeholders to translate business needs into system improvements, and shares feedback on Product Increments.

Qualifications

SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the transport, ports and/or logistics industry.
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business.
  • Experience with B2BI digital products.
  • Understanding key players and products in the digital ecosystem for Trade and Services.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between a customers business needs and technical solutions.
  • Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, and removing blockers.
  • Experience leading teams in an agile setting; has worked with cross functional digital teams.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery instruments “T” shaped knowledge – development, testing, customer development, UX/UI with practical knowledge across 1-2 product development areas.
  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress.
  • Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.
  • Not afraid to “roll up the sleeves” and seeks to go outside of the comfort zone to explore – pushes squad to do the same.
  • Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and are able to present effectively to Executive levels within a customer’s organization.
  • Experience in enterprise projects with a strong working knowledge of development methodologies, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between a customers business needs and technical solutions.
  • CBAP Certification is preferred.
  • Problem-solver with skills in risk management and prioritization.
