Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business to enhance the quality of the services being delivered. They are engaged in analyzing and understanding business problems, and in formulating practical solutions to mediate those problems. A key component of the Business Analyst’s role is to gather, document, and analyze requirements, workflows, and processes to ensure a clear understanding of project specifications. They work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design appropriate solutions, and ensure that the final product meets the set criteria. In addition to being adept at problem-solving, a Business Analyst must have excellent communication and negotiation skills as they are often required to guide and influence decision-makers and facilitate discussions that lead to business improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze business requirements to develop useful insights and conclusions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify project criteria and key deliverables.
  • Design business models and processes to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to glean additional insights into processes.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that outlines problem definitions and solutions.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning needs.
  • Review reports generated by project teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Provide training support to team members on the discussed business models.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Proactively research and recommend new improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with specified business rules and regulations at all project stages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role required.
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand and respond to business needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for this role.
  • Proficiency with business management software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and workflow diagramming software is beneficial.
  • Ability to work competently in a team as well as independently.
