BIM Fire Fighting Draughtsman

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Project Lead and working closely with the Sr. BIM Modeler, the role is responsible for developing and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) throughout all project stages.

• Develop and maintain Building Information Models throughout all project stages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Having the technical background to create MEP shop drawings from scratch with high-quality standards.
• Ensuring shop drawings are exported with high quality and have all the necessary information to make it easier for the site team.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination processes to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure that all established HSE & Quality policies relevant to the role are administered and enforced in all areas
• Report all HSE & Quality violations 
• Carries out all work in a safe manner with consideration for one’s own health, safety, and wellbeing and those in the surrounding area.
• Ensure work activities have no detrimental effect on the environment or surrounding communities. 
• Where work is not safe or may have a negative impact on any aspect of the organization, stop work and raise the issue to the relevant line manager or supervisor.

The successful candidate profile will have:

• Ability to recognise and be responsive to the needs of all clients of the organisation
• Good interpersonal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Ability to organize work effectively under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for BIM implementation and design codes
• Excellent Oral and written English
• Knowledge of COBie, Python, Revit API & Dynamo will be an advantage.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a BIM Modeler in the construction industry
• Mechanical or electrical technical experience is essential.
