BIM/CAD Technician (Utilities) 31O25

We are seeking an experienced BIM/CAD Technician specializing in utilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with a specific focus on utility networks and systems. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop detailed and accurate 3D models and 2D drafts, facilitating the integration of utility systems into building projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of designs, updating models as projects progress, and supporting the technical requirements of various projects. Responsibilities

• Create and manage Building Information Models (BIM) and CAD drawings for utility projects.
• Work closely with the design and engineering teams to integrate utilities infrastructure.
• Generate detailed 2D and 3D models for complex utility networks.
• Review and update existing designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding utilities modelling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of utility layouts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of utility design technologies and practices.
• Produce detailed documentation and specifications for BIM/CAD projects.
• Coordinate with project managers to align design processes with project timelines.
• Ensure all models adhere to company and industry quality standards.
• Identify potential design issues and propose effective solutions proactively.
• Participate in training and development sessions to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience using BIM and CAD software for utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of utility systems and infrastructure design principles.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to utilities design.
