Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Job Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and building scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and managing data storage with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2. This role involves end-to-end data integration, transformation, and orchestration to support advanced analytics and business intelligence

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Integrate data from diverse sources including on-premise and cloud platforms
• Manage and optimize storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Implement data transformation logic using Data Flows, Mapping Data Flows, and SQL-based processing
• Azure Synapse Analytics: For querying and modelling large datasets, especially for exception reporting
• ETL/ELT Development - Strong SQL and Python programming skills for data modelling & warehousing, data transformation logic in ADF, Synapse and Databricks
• Devops practices and CI/CD pipelines for Azure Data Factory or Synapse.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance compliance across the pipeline
  
  

• 7-8 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Proficiency with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure Blob Storage
• Experience with SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT processes
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar platforms is a plus
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data best practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  
  

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD for data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, or other scripting for data processing
