Job Description

The Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager holds a critical role in managing audits and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information. This role involves working closely with audit teams, clients, and senior management to deliver comprehensive audit services and enhance organizational governance. The Assistant Manager supports the planning and execution of audit engagements, evaluates internal controls, analyzes financial statements, and ensures compliance with established auditing standards. Leveraging analytical skills and industry knowledge, this position involves collaborating to resolve complex audit issues and contributing to the improvement of the overall audit process. The Assistant Manager is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in auditing regulations and standards to provide high-quality service and insights to clients.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit and assurance engagements.
  • Review financial statements and assess areas with potential risk exposure.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather information and documentation for auditing.
  • Ensure audits are conducted in compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior audit team members.
  • Analyze financial data and present findings to clients and senior management.
  • Identify areas for audit efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  • Prepare audit reports that summarize significant findings and recommendations.
  • Manage client relationships and address any issues or concerns during audits.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in auditing standards and practices.
  • Assist in training and developing new members within the audit team.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives for enhancing audit services quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in audit within a CPA firm.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial data and reports.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in using audit software and other financial systems and tools.
