Job Description

The Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager is a pivotal role within the auditing team, playing a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. This role requires a professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a profound understanding of auditing practices and standards. As an assistant manager, the individual will coordinate and oversee the successful execution of audit processes, ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies, and provide guidance and leadership to junior staff members. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, leveraging their expertise to optimize processes and contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the audit function.


Responsibilities

  • Lead audit teams in planning, executing, and completing audit assignments efficiently.
  • Review financial statements and ensure that they adhere to established standards and regulations.
  • Identify areas of potential risk and advise on risk management measures.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their business operations and requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and provide feedback to junior audit staff for professional development.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Assist in developing strategic audit plans and methodologies to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal audit regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the effectiveness of the audit process.
  • Continuously update knowledge about industry trends and changes in auditing standards.
  • Contribute to the identification and resolution of complex accounting issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in audit and assurance services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
  • Proven leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate audit teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, and regulations.
