Audio Visual Engineer

Abu Dhabi University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audio-Visual Engineer to join our Digital Advancement, Transformation & AI department. This full-time administrative staff position is based at our Abu Dhabi Campus and is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of audio-visual systems for auditorium activities and university-wide events. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing support of AV systems, including sound systems, LED displays, microphones, and lighting technologies. This role demands a professional who can ensure system readiness prior to events, provide real-time technical support during live sessions, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to meet event requirements. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge and systems use, demonstrating proficiency in audio-visual systems, sound engineering, and lighting control. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and align with institutional goals. A background in relevant qualifications and experience, including a Bachelor’s degree and certifications in AV systems, is preferred. The role requires a proactive individual who can maintain a high standard of AV execution across all university events, ensuring a consistent and professional delivery. Fluency in English and additional language proficiency, along with excellent time management and adaptability, will be advantageous.
