ATFM Product Owner And OPS Manager

TopSky - Flow Manager relies on Thales’ ATC, Safety and Security unique expertise in Air Traffic Management to help Air Navigation Service Providers monitor and regulate air traffic flows by managing the allocation of departure slots, arrival times, and en-route delays to prevent congestion and maintain safe and efficient operations within the airspace system.

Thales and our partner are joining efforts to establish a new development center in the UAE. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of advanced ATFM features within the TopSky - Flow Manager suite and to deploy this new generation of ATFM services in this rapidly growing air traffic region

JOB OBJECTIVE

You will directly report to the onshore Engineering Manager for the assigned project within the UAE.

You will contribute to the solution definition, in close collaboration with TopSky Flow Manager’s Solution Owner, the Solution Architect, as well as the POs of the other squads (France and Portugal) and the stakeholders

• Contribute to define the features roadmap
• Gather users and stakeholders’ needs and feedbacks
  
  
  

You have practical understanding, be force of proposal, be open to change, continuously improving the solution and the performance of the team and like to work in an agile environment.

As a key actor of the solution, the PO works with the Safety, Cyber, architecture and engineering managers in the organization.

You will contribute to shaping the future of safer, more efficient air travel through cutting-edge technological innovations.

Roles & Responsibilities

The PO/Operation Manager works with a squad, a development team that builds and runs the product/components using SCRUM methodology.

• As Product Owner, you main missions will be
• Ensure the understand of business and solution needs, collaborate with Dev team
• Conduct product demos in front of stakeholders
• Make the right decisions in a time constrained environment
• Arbitrate between different options at the pace of the agile@scale framework
• Ensure the strong commitment on outcomes to maximise the value for business and solutions
  
  
  
  

• As operation manager, your main missions will be to
• Ensure performance of the day-to-day operations of the Lab, for the smooth and efficient operation of the ATFM Project. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, administration and operation of the ATM Innovation Lab and for implementing decisions of the Steering Committee.
• Ensure the monitoring indicators and reporting, for consolidation at Project level.
• Manage the day-to-day operational functions of the organization to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
  
  
  

Work Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree from an Engineering school with
• 6+ years of Team responsible including Project Engineering
• 5+ years of Experience on Software Product Ownership
• Proven experience of Cloud solution development
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong understanding of operational procedures, budgeting, and performance management
  
  
  
  

• Strong ATM (Air Traffic Management) background with experience in
• Air Traffic Management systems
• Flight data management and processing
  
  
  
  

• Strong experience of managing a SW development items
• Understanding of SAAS model
• Understanding of cloud native architecture and DevOps implications (deployment without breaking changes. run, cyber security, costs etc…)
• You can demonstrate knowledge in Full Stack or pure back/pure front programming languages and frameworks (Java/Spring Boot and React/Typescript)
  
  
  

Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements

• Engineering/Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields.
• Must have high fluency in spoken and written English (Candidates also fluent in French or/and Arabic will be preferred).
• Certifications in PO, Scrum, DevOps toolset and Agile are preferred
  
  
  

Preferred Skills / Experience

A working experience in Agile team, Cloud and AI solutions and great level of communication would be beneficial.
