Overview

Committed and proactive person to join the team as an Associate HSES Tech. The ideal candidate will work with the project team to support the implementation and administration of HSE policies, procedures, and systems across the site, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment. This position requires both on-site HSE monitoring and administrative support for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monitoring of day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with local, Client and CB&I HSE regulations and standards.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and report unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.
  • Assist the Project HSES Manager in the implementation of risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
  • Assist, as directed by the Project team, in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by attendance and participation at toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and safety campaigns.
  • Support the emergency preparedness and response plan, including drills and training.
  • Assist as required in liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on HSE matters.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records, reports, checklists, and logs.
  • Prepare monthly and weekly HSE performance reports.
  • Support documentation related to training, audits, and inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation of HSE documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate HSE meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Local Requirements

  • Must be an Emirati National. Familiarity with basic UAE HSE regulations.
  • Job Location : Ruwais , Site Office
  • Working Days : Monday to Friday
  • Work Hours : 8:00 Am to 5:00 PM

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred
  • HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a construction, industrial, or infrastructure environment (fresh graduates with strong interest in HSE may also be considered).
  • Familiarity with local HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • English Proficiency - Spoken & Written

  • Communicate clearly with Supervisors and the workforce to maintain a safe work environment
  • Promote CB&I’s ‘ STOP WORK AUTHORITY’ program.
  • Show a proactive attitude towards learning HSES practices relevant to the business.
