We seek an outstanding candidate with a strong research background and active participation in large-scale international collaborations such as the ATLAS experiment at CERN. Priority will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter, including its operation, performance, calibration, and involvement in Phase-II upgrades and future detector developments for the High-Luminosity LHC. Experience in detector instrumentation and hardware–software integration is highly desirable. In addition, strong expertise in computing is highly valued, particularly in high-performance and distributed computing environments such as the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), as well as in data-intensive analysis and modern approaches including machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in particle physics. The successful candidate is expected to develop and sustain a high-impact, externally funded research program, contribute actively to ATLAS-related activities including detector performance, upgrades, and physics analyses, supervise undergraduate and graduate students in advanced research areas, and teach physics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels with a strong commitment to teaching excellence. The candidate is also expected to participate in the department’s administrative services as well as community activities. The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive tax-free salary package, including free accommodation, health insurance, children’s education support, relocation and furniture allowances, and annual airfare tickets. Applicants must submit all required materials through the UAEU recruitment portal at https://jobs.uaeu.ac.ae, noting that incomplete applications will not be considered.
