This full-time faculty position is pivotal in delivering high-quality education in directing, cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and digital media production. The successful candidate will employ both theoretical and hands-on approaches to teaching, ensuring that students achieve program learning outcomes through the design and updating of course materials, assessment of student performance, and supervision of capstone projects and film productions. The role demands active engagement in research and creative output, including film productions, media projects, and scholarly publications. Additionally, the Assistant Professor will contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement, aligning with industry standards and emerging technologies. Responsibilities also include academic advising, departmental service, and collaboration with industry partners to enhance student employability and ensure program relevance. We are looking for candidates with a strong alignment in core competencies, technical skills, and behavioral skills, as well as relevant qualifications and experience in the field.

Job Description

The role involves teaching students in undergraduates and postgraduate academic programs while ensuring appropriate support is provided and high-performance levels are achieved. In addition to program coordination, the Assistant Professor will head research in specialized area related in order to enhance ADU’s profile and contribute to the knowledge development of the local and international community. The role will also require active participation in engaging in diverse pedagogical methods and instructional strategies that support students in their holistic development.
