Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the sales team towards achieving their targets and maximizing revenue generation. This position is crucial for providing strategic guidance and operational support to the sales department. The Assistant Manager - Sales will actively participate in setting sales goals, training team members, and analyzing sales performance to identify areas for improvement. By maintaining strong communication with the team and other departments, the Assistant Manager ensures that sales strategies align with the overall business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the sales team to ensure productivity and motivation.
  • Conduct regular sales performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales activities with business goals.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops to boost sales team competencies and skills.
  • Analyze sales data to present actionable insights and forecasts to senior management.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the recruitment of new sales staff and ensure they are effectively onboarded.
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and achieve financial targets.
  • Organize regular team meetings to discuss progress and set new targets and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales or related field required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on motivation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Ability to analyze market and sales data to make sound business decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools is essential.
