Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Operations is a key role that ensures the smooth functioning of the operations team within an organization. This position requires an individual who is adept at managing daily operations, optimizing efficiency, and supporting the team in achieving the business goals. The Assistant Manager will be the right hand to the Operations Manager, coordinating between different departments, and resolving operational issues promptly. This role demands excellent organizational and leadership skills, along with a detail-oriented approach to ensure all processes are streamlined. The ideal candidate should be capable of multitasking, handling pressure situations calmly, and communicating effectively with team members and management.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily operations and workflow efficiency within the department.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure operational processes are aligned.
  • Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in developing operational strategies and policies to improve service quality.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess operational effectiveness.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports to ensure high performance and staff development.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan and execute improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
  • Facilitate communication and foster a positive work environment among team members.
  • Oversee budgetary concerns, including operational expenditures and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operations management role.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee the operations team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are highly crucial.
  • Proficient in using operational software and business productivity applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
