The Assistant Manager at Distribution Center 13N25 plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing distribution operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Distribution Center Manager to oversee daily operations, mentor team members, and implement process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Distribution Center Manager in planning and coordinating distribution operations.
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse team to ensure productivity and accuracy.
  • Implement and uphold safety standards and protocols within the distribution center.
  • Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for warehouse staff to enhance skills.
  • Analyze operational processes and propose effective improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline inbound and outbound shipping processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and review performance metrics to drive improvements in service delivery.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning optimally at all times.
  • Prepare and present reports on distribution center performance to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with various departments.
