Job Description

The role of Assistant Contract Manager - Civil 03D25 involves actively supporting the management and execution of civil engineering contracts within our organization. This position requires working closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of civil engineering principles. You will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects and develop a comprehensive understanding of contract management in the civil engineering sector.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contract Manager in the preparation and negotiation of contract terms.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure project requirements are accurately reflected in contracts.
  • Monitor project progress and report deviations from the projected timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all contract documents and correspondences.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards on all projects.
  • Address and resolve any contractual issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Prepare detailed reports on contract performance and deliverables for management review.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time.
  • Assist in the budget management and cost control of infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee project progress and adherence to contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and other procurement documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in contract management within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction contract law and industry practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
