Assistant Associate Full Professor

Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University invites for a faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full professor level in Material Chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates whose research focuses on materials for renewal energy applications.Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong committment to teaching excellence and student advising at both graduate & under graduate level.They should also possess a robust research record & the capacity to sustain an internally & externally funded research program,publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals & contribute actively to the continued growth of UAE Uiversity. Responsibilities: -Teach graduate & under graduate courses in materials science,physical & inorganic chemistry. -Mentor & guide students in research projects & thesis supervision -Develop & revise courses -Engage in collaborative research work with external researchers & support collegues in research & co-curricular activities. Qualifications: -PhD in materials, physical or inorganic chemistry. -A minimum two years of teaching experience at a higher education institution -A strong track record of research publications in Scopus indexed & Q1 journals -Experience in securing research grants & supervising students -Excellent communication skills & ability to foster a collaborative educational environment. Requirements: -Cover letter stating your interest, your qualification and how you can contribute to faculty's teaching & research initiatives. -Updated CV including age, nationality, work/education history,H-index & list of publications. -Research statement (1-2 pages) detailing your research plans & special instrumentation requirement -Teaching statement (1-2 pages) outlning your teaching experience & proficiency with virtual learning platforms & tools.
