Job Description

Marsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor. We protect and promote possibility—helping clients dream bigger, reach further, and plan for the opportunities ahead. We bring solutions that help our clients manage risk, grow, and succeed.

Graduate Risk Engineering Data Analyst / Data Scientist (Technology & Innovation) — Energy & Power | Abu Dhabi / Dubai

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented graduate to join our MEA Risk Engineering / Technology and Innovation team, supporting Marsh Specialty’s Energy and Power Risk Engineering teams.

This role blends process improvement, digitalization, data analysis, and hands-on exposure to risk engineering. You will help analyze how our teams work, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to building digital tools and automated solutions that improve internal processes—while also supporting risk engineering deliverables and client work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Analysis & Digitalization: Work closely with internal teams to understand existing workflows and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the design of digital solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Innovation and Software Development: Build and maintain internal tools and applications that solve real business problems faced by our Energy and Power teams across the MEA region. Explore and apply emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning where appropriate, to develop smarter internal solutions.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, organize, and validate data from multiple sources, including risk engineering surveys and internal databases. Analyze and interpret data using Microsoft Excel and internal tools to ensure accuracy and generate actionable insights.
  • Collaboration with Risk Engineers: Partner closely with the MEA Energy and Power Risk Engineering teams to support risk assessments, insurance submissions, and client presentations. Provide data-driven insights to help identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Client Support: Support the preparation of presentations and reports and participate in internal and client meetings as required.
  • Training & Development: Shadow experienced risk engineers during field surveys to gain practical exposure to risk engineering. Participate in ongoing training to develop expertise in risk engineering and data analysis.
  • Tools & Software: Use Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) to organize data, produce reports, and present findings. Leverage advanced data and automation tools to improve efficiency and depth of analysis.
  • Organization & Multitasking: Manage multiple priorities effectively, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and maintain well-organized records of data and analyses.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Recent graduate with a degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Technical skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in a programming language and familiarity with automation tools, APIs, or low-code/no-code platforms is beneficial.
  • Analytical capability: Comfortable working with data and translating analysis into practical outputs for business stakeholders. Strong attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
  • Personal attributes: Proactive, eager to learn, well-organized, and able to perform well under pressure.
  • UAE National only

Why Join Us

  • Learning and development: Learn from experienced risk engineering professionals and gain exposure to major regional and global clients in the Energy and Power sector.
  • Career progression: A unique development path with potential growth into more senior technical, analytics, technology, or client-facing roles.
