An Aluminium Fabricator is responsible for designing, assembling, and installing structural metal products using materials like aluminum, steel, or iron. This role requires a thorough understanding of technical blueprints and the ability to perform precise measurements and cuts. An Aluminium Fabricator collaborates with engineers and production teams to customize projects and ensure product quality. They shoulder the task of operating various machinery and hand tools effectively. Responsibilities

• Interpret and read blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes.
• Measure and cut aluminum and other metals with precision following project specifications.
• Operate metal cutting, shaping, and welding tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design and technical issues efficiently.
• Assemble metal components into frameworks and structures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect completed projects to ensure they comply with quality and safety standards meticulously.
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly to ensure maximum productivity and lifespan.
• Identify potential project issues and propose solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Follow health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
• Document project progress and maintain detailed records of materials and costs involved.
• Assist in training junior fabricators and apprentices to enhance team performance.
• Fabricate custom projects as per client specifications and modify existing structures where needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an advantage.
• Proven experience as an aluminium fabricator or in a similar role with metalwork.
• Excellent knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly techniques and practices.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics proficiently.
• Strong physical stamina and dexterity to manage lifting and operational tasks.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a fabrication environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools used in aluminium fabrication.
• Familiarity with welders, cutting torches, and other related fabrication machinery.
