Job Description

The Aircraft Appearance Supervisor is tasked with the comprehensive oversight and coordination of all aircraft exterior and technical cleaning operations, ensuring adherence to stringent hygiene and safety standards, and facilitating efficient turnaround times. This role also encompasses the supervision, execution, and monitoring of all cabin fumigation and pest control activities on Etihad Airways aircraft, with the objective of maintaining superior pest control and hygiene within the aircraft cabin. The Aircraft Appearance Supervisor is responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring both fumigation teams and aircraft appearance personnel to enhance their proficiency, knowledge, and overall capabilities.

Other Responsibilities

• Safety & Quality: Ensure strict adherence to Etihad Airways Safety & Quality Regulatory procedures. Proactively oversee staff health, safety, and work performance requirements, verifying that all tasks are executed using approved tooling and maintenance data. Foster a robust safety and incident reporting culture.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, mentorship, coaching and training to improve the team’s competence and performance.
• Confirm the appropriate use of company-issued equipment and tooling and ensure the immediate and accurate submission of Lost Tool Reports in accordance with Etihad Procedures.
  
  

Accountabilities

• Operational Performance: Strategically plan daily manpower allocation to align with EY CAMO Planning and Line & Light Maintenance requirements, Oversee and monitor all pest control, exterior, and technical cleaning operations.
• Supervise and ensure the effective execution of all aircraft appearance work plans, pest control inspections, and related initiatives
• Lead the team to ensure all activities are conducted within approved scopes and in strict adherence to applicable AMM, TPM, and AMOS job card specifications. Delegate tasks, prioritize workloads, and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct thorough inspections and audits to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Audit and monitor fumigation and pest control activities, reporting on areas of concern, recurring findings, and identifying trends within aircraft cabins and cargo holds.
• Continuously monitor adherence to processes and procedures to mitigate audit findings and prevent repeat occurrences from both internal and external audits.
• Staff Performance: Oversee, guide, and train fumigation personnel to enhance their skills and product expertise. Provide consistent feedback to management regarding operational and staff performance.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment for all Etihad employees
• Participate in incident investigations to identify the root causes of safety accidents, incidents, or near-misses.
  
  

Qualifications

• Basic aviation familiarity & experience / Apprenticeship.
• Experience: Five years working in a Live Aviation environment in Ramp operations.
• Extensive knowledge of exterior dry wash, technical cleaning and fumigation, pest control gained in Line & Hangar environment covering all aspects of routine maintenance, exterior cleaning and pest control standards. (Residual, Remedial Disinsection)
• Familiarity with company policies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational and leadership skills, and knowledge of MS Office
• Be able to display good English written and vocal communication skills.
• UAE Driving License Preferable.
