Job Description

An Accounts Associate is a critical team member within the finance department, responsible for performing various accounting and finance tasks to support the organization's financial operations. This role involves assisting with the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of financial records and reports. An Accounts Associate should possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This position often requires coordination with other departments to gather financial information, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support budgeting activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be eager to grow in their accounting career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and reports.
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring precise data entry and reconciliation.
  • Support in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions punctually.
  • Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial information.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring financial performance against budget.
  • Prepare and submit regular financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor and report on discrepancies found during financial record assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Provide support in audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvements and financial systems enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Previous experience in an accounting role, ranging from 1 to 3 years.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
