Job Description

As an Accounts Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial operations of the organization. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all accounting procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Your work will involve handling a range of accounting tasks, from processing invoices and reconciling accounts to assisting with financial reporting and audits. You will need to possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to work with precision and accuracy. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and journals.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closure procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely exchange of financial data.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances on a regular basis.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning objectives.
  • Handle queries related to accounting and financial issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance accordingly.
  • Perform data entry tasks and maintain updated accounting system records regularly.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
  • Prior experience in an accounting or finance-related role is considered advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an acute attention to detail are mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are highly valued.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations is required for compliance purposes.
