Job Description

An Accounting Manager is a crucial figure within a company's financial department, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the leadership team with strategic financial insights. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement financial processes and guidelines for improved productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting principles.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and analyses to the leadership team.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and provide strategic financial planning support.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits in a timely manner.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Liaise with external partners, such as auditors and tax consultants, for specialized financial needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial processes and controls.
  • Monitor financial performance and suggest areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions through due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting team effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
