Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team onsite. The Accountant will support the head office finance function by managing day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple entities and countries.

The role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and ensuring proper control over company funds, vendor payments, and operational expenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records for head office and group entities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing, verification, and timely payments
  • Handle vendor management, including reconciliation of vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain and control petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Record and monitor expenses, accruals, and prepayments in line with accounting standards
  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports, schedules, and audit documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with country finance teams, procurement, and operations for financial data and approvals
  • Maintain proper documentation, filing, and audit trails for all financial transactions

Requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

Experience:

  • Maximum 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping and journal entries, account reconciliation and BRS, vendor management and accounts payable, petty cash handling and expense tracking
  • Experience in working across departments
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with MS Office and other accounting tools
